Join us at the CEC Environmental Hub on State Street, April 21 from 7:00 - 8:00 PM for a Surfrider Volunteer Open House to learn about Surfrider in general and specific volunteer opportunities in Santa Barbara. Please click here to register so we know how much pizza and soft drinks to bring. Walk-ins are welcome.
The open house will include an overview of Surfrider nationwide and the Santa Barbara County Chapter, followed by details on various ways to volunteer locally.
Volunteer opportunities we will be covering include leading beach cleanups, helping with the Ocean Friendly Restaurants program, the Ocean Friendly Gardens program, stopping offshore oil drilling, protecting the Gaviota Coast, community outreach, and website maintenance.
